Intake Interview:
Begin with a comprehensive intake interview with the parents to gather crucial information about the child. This initial step ensures a thorough understanding of the child’s background, challenges, and strengths.
Assessment:
Conduct a detailed assessment tailored to the child’s needs, lasting between 2 to 4 hours, contingent on their age. This phase delves into various aspects of their development, providing valuable insights to inform the subsequent steps.
Feedback Session:
Share the assessment findings with the parents in a dedicated feedback session. This crucial step involves discussing observations, evaluations, and potential interventions, fostering a collaborative approach between the psychologist and the parents to chart the course for the therapeutic phase.
